ABOUT ME

Who am I?

I’m a yoga therapist, mom of two daughters, counselor/mentor, wife going on 20 wonderful years, yoga instructor and entrepreneur. I love traveling, yoga, food, reading, and all things outdoors. I consider myself a quiet adventurer and a calculated risk-taker.

These days, my role in the world, both personal and professional, is to help people reduce stress, build resilience and thrive.

When I look back, for as long as I can remember, that has always been so, I just wouldn’t have articulated the “tagline” version of it. What I would have said, is that I love deep connections; supporting, listening and helping people follow the threads that lead them to a fuller understanding of themselves and a more meaningful life. This deep inquiry is my guiding light. To learn more about what I’m discovering, check out my blog posts. They are full of both quiet and raucous discoveries and tools to guide and support you.

MY BACKGROUND

How did I get here?

The work that I do today flows from my experience as a nature guide, yoga therapist, counselor and yoga instructor and merges, psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness and nature-based practices. It is rooted in the understanding that the mind, body and brain are one integrated system, each intimately affecting the whole.

My studies and training have often felt either rooted in eastern philosophy or western science and in bridging the two, I have found a new language that is more holistic and supportive than either could be on their own.

MY WORK

What do I do?

I love sharing this holistic approach with my students. Through online courses, yoga, yoga therapy and retreats, I help people reduce stress and anxiety by approaching the stressors in their lives as challenges versus road blocks.

Together we’ll rewire the negative thought patterns and beliefs that limit us and create new pathways that help you stay calm and more engaged with your life. Whether you are healing from trauma or grief, working to change a difficult relationship or struggling with anxiety or depression, how you handle stress plays a huge role in your progress.

My work is to help you feel calmer and more grounded so that you can handle those challenges with more ease and equanimity. I work with a variety of modalities so if you are unsure of where to start, schedule a free discovery call here.

Or if you’d like to jump right in, consider a free week of Your Yoga: A Virtual Community or email me to schedule a yoga therapy session.
