The Costa Rica, Osa Peninsula Retreat is on and spots are going fast!!!

Join Beck Shatles and me in Costa Rica June 13 - 19. Click here for a video sneak peak into what your week will look and feel like. Plus, I'd love to tell you a little about my experience guiding retreats in the Osa...

This will be my third retreat at Boca Sombrero and the place is nothing short of magical. The grounds are stunning, combining open spaces and wild jungle. One morning walk introduced me to a coati - an animal I’d never even heard of and another brought me eye level with an anteater; and the sound of the howler monkeys is my favorite sound in the entire world. On our first retreat, I announced in a circle that my personal wish was to have animal encounters during the retreat. Howler, squirrel, capuchin and spider monkeys, anteaters, toucans, macaws, dolphins, sea turtles and jesus lizards are a few of the beauties that answered my call. If you are a natural world junkie like I am, you will be in heaven. And then there’s the surf…. I’d never surfed before and my first time out, I convinced myself that surfing wasn’t for me. And then I went out again. And again. And again. The last day I risked missing a taxi just to get one more wave in. I’ve since tried surfing at other places and now realize how spoiled we are at Boca Sombrero. There is a perfect spot for both beginners and intermediate surfers right outside our door with surf teachers that are so kind, helpful and encouraging, you almost can’t help being lured into the waves. Surfing is completely optional on this retreat but if you’ve ever considered it, this is the place to GO FOR IT!!! And if you choose not to surf, you'll find hammocks calling your name, dolphins chasing your boat, birds waiting to be spotted, and horses inviting you to take a ride. Oh and don't forget YOGA in the thick of it all! The list goes on and on...

And then there's another and honestly, more relevant reason that I am aching to go to the Osa, and that is the need to heal from covid. And no, I never contracted covid, but like you, I've been living the pandemic life for over a year now. First in Spain, where my family and I were in full-on lockdown for 45 days and then in Salt Lake when we returned to the U.S. last August. And that in itself, requires healing. And what I can feel in myself, is that it is going to take more than being fully vaccinated and low covid numbers for me to feel fully myself again. For me, beyond all of the magic of the Osa, this retreat is an opportunity to come together, in a stunning natural space and reconnect with other humans. While all participants will be vaccinated and we know cognitively that we'll be physically safe, it may take a bit of time to feel that safety in our bodies. And this is what I'm longing for and holding space for. To be in deep connection with all of you and to feel the safety and nourishment in that connection. I cannot imagine anything more healing in this moment.

If you feel the same pull, I hope you will join Beck and me in June. Please reply to this email if you are interested. A deposit of $500 will hold your space. Pay in full by April 10 and receive a 10% off early bird discount.
